This Cybersecurity Practitioner Course is made up of Knowledge Modules, Practical Skill Modules, and Work Experience Modules. Knowledge Modules

There are Two (2) Knowledge Modules in the Advanced Occupational Certificate: Cybersecurity Practitioner. These modules build the theoretical foundation needed to understand cyber intelligence, cyber investigations, digital forensics, threat analysis, and cybersecurity operations.

Theories and Application Principles of Analysing Cybersecurity Information
  • This module develops knowledge of cyber intelligence gathering, threat monitoring, vulnerability analysis, target network analysis, cyber operations, and cybersecurity risk assessment methodologies.

  • Learners gain an understanding of cybercrime investigations, digital forensics, evidence collection, incident investigations, cyber defence analysis, and legal requirements in cybersecurity environments.

Practical Skill Modules

There are Three (3) Practical Skill Modules in the Advanced Occupational Certificate: Cybersecurity Practitioner. These modules provide practical experience in cyber operations, threat analysis, cybersecurity investigations, and intelligence reporting.

Cyber Operations Planning and Execution
  • This module develops practical skills in planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating cybersecurity operations while applying intelligence and risk management principles.

  • Learners analyse cyber threats, identify vulnerabilities, evaluate attack patterns, gather intelligence, and prepare cybersecurity threat reports.

  • This module develops competence in cybercrime investigations, digital evidence handling, forensic analysis, incident response, and investigation reporting.

Work Experience Modules

There are Three (3) Work Experience Modules in the Advanced Occupational Certificate: Cybersecurity Practitioner. These workplace modules provide real-world exposure to cybersecurity operations and investigative environments.

Cyber Security Data Collection Management Processes
  • Learners participate in cybersecurity intelligence gathering, operational planning, information collection, and cybersecurity data management activities.

  • This module provides workplace experience in cyber threat monitoring, intelligence analysis, vulnerability assessments, and threat reporting processes.
